Jayde’s Journey to Feeling Valued as an RN with IntelliStaff Medical
Hi everyone, my name is Jayde and I am an RN with IntelliStaff Medical. I started my nursing career in Halifax, Nova Scotia and have been a nurse for a little over 2 years. When I decided to further my career as an RN in the USA, I had several goals in mind. One of them being the goal of feeling truly valued and appreciated in my career. I can confidently say that the hospital IntelliStaff Medical found for me in South Carolina makes me feel exactly that, valued and appreciated.
Since my move from Canada, my sense of value and belonging as a nurse has grown tenfold. I feel as though I am truly making a difference in patient lives and am always reassured by my patients, coworkers, and management that our work truly matters. This is a HUGE deal for me, as I never felt my work and personal sacrifice was recognized and valued prior to coming here, leaving me to feel very burnt out and unsure of my career choice. This has been the best decision I have made for both myself and my career, and it is clear that it reflects in my personal life outside of work as well.
