Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)

IntelliStaff Medical is seeking Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurses for a full-time permanent position in Northeast Texas. This opportunity includes TN visa assistance for qualified Canadian and Mexican RNs, as well as U.S. state licensing support for North American nurses.

Qualifications – Stepdown / Progressive Care RN

• Active Texas RN license (or eligible for licensure); state licensing assistance available
• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred
• NCLEX-RN required for Canadian and Mexican RNs
• BLS required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire
• One year of recent Progressive Care, Stepdown, or acute care experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred

Responsibilities and Duties – Progressive Care RN

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care following state regulations and Joint Commission standards
• Perform moderately complex assessments, therapies, and interventions for stepdown patients
• Care for patients experiencing serious but non-life-threatening conditions
• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Operate and monitor clinical equipment used to regulate patient conditions
• Collaborate closely with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery goals
