Position Overview

IntelliStaff Medical is seeking Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurses (RNs) for full-time opportunities with a U.S. hospital in the Greater Chicago region. In this role, you will provide advanced, high-acuity care to critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and complex interventions.

This opportunity is open to Canadian and Mexican citizens eligible for the TN visa.

Green card and permanent residency sponsorship is available for qualified candidates after 3 months of employment.

Compensation

• $35.35 – $53.58/hour based on experience
• Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus available (details discussed during interview)

Qualifications of ICU RN

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Canadian or Mexican citizenship (TN visa eligibility required)
• Active RN license (or eligibility) in the State of Illinois
• NCLEX required
• BLS required upon hire
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation required within 30 days
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience; ICU experience preferred
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification preferred

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide advanced, life-saving nursing care to critically ill patients
• Perform continuous patient assessments, including hemodynamic and physiologic monitoring
• Manage ventilators, drips, and advanced life support equipment
• Administer critical medications, including titratable IV infusions, safely and accurately
• Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust complex care plans
• Communicate patient status updates, diagnostic results, and treatment responses effectively
• Educate patients and families on critical illness, treatments, and recovery expectations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety standards
