Position Overview

IntelliStaff Medical is seeking ICU / Critical Care Registered Nurses (RNs) for full-time day shift opportunities with a U.S. hospital in the Central Maine region. In this role, you will provide advanced, life-saving care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment while working as a direct employee of the hospital.

This opportunity is open to Canadian and Mexican citizens eligible for the TN visa.

Green card and permanent residency sponsorship is available for qualified candidates after 3 months of employment. 

Compensation

• Competitive hourly rates based on experience and specialty
• $15,000 sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates (details discussed during interview)

Qualifications of ICU RN

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Canadian or Mexican citizenship (TN visa eligibility required)
• Active RN license (or eligibility) in the State of Maine
• NCLEX required
• BLS required upon hire
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation required within 30 days
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience; ICU experience preferred
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification preferred

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide advanced, life-saving nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Perform continuous patient assessments, including hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
• Administer and titrate critical medications, including IV infusions and sedation
• Monitor ventilated patients and manage advanced life support equipment
• Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and emergencies
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans
• Communicate patient status updates, diagnostic results, and changes in condition to the care team
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and critical care processes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety standards
