Position Overview

IntelliStaff Medical is seeking Emergency Department Registered Nurses (RNs) for full-time opportunities with a U.S. hospital in the Central Maine region. In this role, you will deliver rapid, high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency setting while working as a direct employee of the hospital.

This opportunity is open to Canadian and Mexican citizens eligible for the TN visa.

Green card and permanent residency sponsorship is available for qualified candidates after 3 months of employment.

Compensation

• Competitive hourly rates based on experience
• $15,000 sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates (details discussed during interview)

Qualifications of Emergency Room RN

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Canadian or Mexican citizenship (TN visa eligibility required)
• Active RN license (or eligibility) in the State of Maine
• NCLEX required
• BLS required upon hire
• ACLS and PALS (or ENPC) required within 30 days of hire
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation required within 30 days
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience; Emergency Room experience preferred
• CEN certification preferred

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide rapid assessment, triage, and treatment of patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions and injuries
• Perform detailed patient assessments and prioritize care based on severity and urgency
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions accurately and efficiently
• Assist with trauma cases, cardiac events, and other critical emergencies
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Collaborate closely with physicians, paramedics, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver timely care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate, real-time documentation in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure compliance with patient safety standards, infection control, and emergency protocols
• Follow EMTALA regulations and support appropriate reporting procedures when required
