Position Overview

IntelliStaff Medical is seeking Emergency Department Registered Nurses (RNs) for full-time opportunities with a U.S. hospital in the Greater Chicago region. In this role, you will provide fast-paced, high-quality care to patients presenting with acute and critical conditions in a dynamic emergency setting.

This opportunity is open to Canadian and Mexican citizens eligible for the TN visa.

Green card and permanent residency sponsorship is available for qualified candidates after 3 months of employment.

Compensation

• $35.35 – $53.58/hour based on experience
• Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus available (details discussed during interview)

Qualifications of Emergency Room RN

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Canadian or Mexican citizenship (TN visa eligibility required)
• Active RN license (or eligibility) in the State of Illinois
• NCLEX required
• BLS required upon hire
• ACLS and PALS (or ENPC) required within 30 days of hire
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation required within 30 days
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience; ER experience preferred
• CEN certification preferred

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform rapid triage, assessment, and prioritization of patients based on acuity
• Provide emergency care for trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and other acute conditions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions accurately and efficiently
• Assist with critical procedures such as intubation, resuscitation, and trauma care
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and respond immediately to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver timely care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate, real-time documentation in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure compliance with EMTALA regulations and patient safety protocols
• Support reporting requirements and coordinate with social services when necessary
