Position Overview

IntelliStaff Medical is seeking Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) Registered Nurses (RNs) for full-time opportunities with a U.S. hospital in the Greater Chicago region. In this role, you will provide specialized care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures.

This opportunity is open to Canadian and Mexican citizens eligible for the TN visa.

Green card and permanent residency sponsorship is available for qualified candidates after 3 months of employment.

Compensation

  • $38.18 – $57.87/hour based on experience

Qualifications of Cath Lab RN

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Canadian or Mexican citizenship (TN visa eligibility required)
  • Active RN license (or eligibility) in the State of Illinois
  • NCLEX required
  • Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab or Critical Care experience (ICU, ER, or similar) required
  • BLS and ACLS required upon hire

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness for cases
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
  • Continuously monitor hemodynamic data and patient condition throughout procedures
  • Recognize and respond quickly to complications such as arrhythmias, bleeding, or cardiac events
  • Maintain and manage cath lab equipment, ensuring proper function and inventory levels
  • Administer medications, including sedation and cardiac-related therapies
  • Document all aspects of patient care accurately and in real time
  • Collaborate with the cardiovascular team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with safety standards
