IntelliStaff Medical is seeking Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurses for a full-time permanent position in Northern California. This position includes TN visa assistance for qualified Canadian and Mexican RNs as well as licensing support for North American nurses.
With this PACU RN position, you will work as a direct employee of a 230-bed acute care hospital and receive a full benefits package along with long-term career growth opportunities.
Qualifications of PACU RN:
- Active RN license in the California; licensing assistance is available
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- NCLEX required for Canadian and Mexican RNs
- BLS and ACLS required
- PALS required within 90 days of hire (if applicable)
- Previous PACU or critical care experience preferred
- CCRN certification preferred
Responsibilities and Duties of a PACU RN:
- Provide safe, high-quality post-anesthesia care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Monitor patients closely for changes in condition, including hemodynamic status and post-operative complications
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams regarding patient status
- Administer medications and manage pain control as directed
- Coordinate patient recovery and ensure smooth transitions of care across departments
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, team meetings, and ongoing education
