Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) Job

IntelliStaff Medical is recruiting experienced Oncology Registered Nurses for full-time, permanent positions in established U.S. hospital-based cancer programs in the Northeast Texas region. This opportunity includes TN visa assistance for qualified Canadian and Mexican RNs, along with U.S. state licensing support for North American nurses.

You will be hired directly by the hospital and receive full benefits as part of a collaborative, patient-focused oncology team delivering compassionate, evidence-based cancer care.

• Approximately 150-bed general acute care hospital
• Level III Trauma Center
• Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI
• Advanced Primary Stroke Care certified
• Orthopedic outcomes ranked in the top 5% nationally

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Texas RN license (or eligible for licensure; support available)
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• NCLEX-RN required for Canadian and Mexican RNs
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred; oncology experience strongly valued
• ONS Chemotherapy/BIO Provider Card preferred
• OCN certification preferred
• Strong communication skills and commitment to oncology patient advocacy

Responsibilities and Duties

• Deliver safe, specialized oncology nursing care using evidence-based practice
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy and oncology therapeutic regimens
• Assess, manage and document treatment side effects and symptom progression
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, medications and care plans
• Coordinate care across multidisciplinary oncology teams
• Support treatment navigation, follow-up care and survivorship planning
• Monitor psychosocial needs and facilitate referrals when appropriate
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the oncology program
