Mould Remediation Technician – Residential Housing (Nunavut-Based)

IntelliStaff is hiring experienced mould remediation professionals to support residential home improvement projects in remote Nunavut communities. These full-time contracts involve hands-on work in cold environments and meaningful collaboration with other trades. You’ll be fully embedded in the community, contributing to the safety, health, and longevity of homes for families.

This position is ideal for someone with prior hazardous materials experience who is ready to apply their skills in a high-impact setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Type 2 and Type 3 mould abatement procedures in residential homes.

• Safely remove and replace contaminated materials, following all decontamination protocols.

• Complete retrofits and minor carpentry repairs following abatement work.

• Document material usage and maintain accurate inventory records.

• Ensure all site safety, hygiene, and hazardous waste handling protocols are strictly followed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in hazardous materials abatement.

• At least 2 years of experience supervising abatement crews or contractors.

• Working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations related to mould and hazardous materials.

• Physical ability to work in uncomfortable conditions, lift heavy items, and wear PPE.

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Working in Nunavut
This position requires living full-time in a Northern community. While winters can be long and amenities limited, the region offers stunning scenery, a deep cultural connection with the land, and high wages to match the challenge. Travel and accommodations are fully arranged and covered by IntelliStaff. You will need to bring your own tools, which we will ship for you.
