IntelliStaff Medical is seeking Mental Health/Psychiatry Registered Nurses for a full-time, permanent night shift position in a well-established acute care hospital setting. This opportunity includes TN visa assistance for qualified Canadian and Mexican RNs, along with full support for U.S. state licensing.

Green card, US permanent residency, sponsorship is available for eligible candidates after successful completion of probation period.

The facility is an approximately 300-bed acute care hospital offering a full continuum of behavioral health services, including inpatient psychiatry, intensive outpatient programs, and crisis intervention services.

Qualifications of Psych RN

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the California
• NCLEX-RN required for Canadian and Mexican nurses
• Canadian or Mexican Citizenship for TN visa eligibility
• Current BLS certification
• Working knowledge of mental health laws and behavioral health practice standards
• Understanding of interdisciplinary treatment teams and behavioral health care continuum
• Experience in inpatient or outpatient behavioral health settings preferred

Responsibilities and Duties of a Mental Health RN

• Provide nursing care to patients with acute and chronic mental health conditions
• Conduct patient assessments; monitor mental status, behaviour, and response to treatment
• Administer medications and evaluate therapeutic outcomes and side effects
• Lead and support therapeutic group sessions
• Perform psychiatric crisis intervention, including de-escalation, seclusion, and restraint when necessary
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on treatment and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, medications, and ongoing care plans
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with diagnostic evaluations
