Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse Job – Northern California
IntelliStaff Medical is seeking a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse for a full-time permanent position in Northern California. This opportunity includes TN visa assistance for qualified Canadian and Mexican RNs, along with U.S. state licensing support.
This Med/Surg RN position offers the opportunity to work as a direct employee of a respected 230-bed acute care hospital serving Northern California. You will receive full hospital benefits, competitive compensation, and long-term career growth within a large multi-state health system.

Qualifications – Medical/Surgical RN
- Current and valid California RN license required
- NCLEX-RN required for Canadian and Mexican RNs
- BLS (AHA) required upon hire and must be maintained
- ACLS (AHA) required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained
- Previous acute care hospital experience preferred
- Ventilator management experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Responsibilities and Duties of a Medical/Surgical RN
- Deliver safe patient care using assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
- Provide direct patient care within scope of practice on the Medical/Surgical Unit
- Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians promptly and accurately
- Interpret cardiac monitoring and diagnostic results
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation range: $43.28 – $71.14 per hour, based on experience and credentials
