IntelliStaff Medical is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time permanent position in Northern California. This opportunity includes TN visa assistance for qualified Canadian and Mexican RNs, along with U.S. state licensing support.
This Float Pool RN position offers the opportunity to work as a direct employee of a respected 230-bed acute care hospital serving Northern California. The facility is nationally recognized for cardiovascular care, holds an “A” Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, and maintains Joint Commission certifications in Stroke, Hip and Knee Replacement, and Diabetes care. It is also recognized among the top hospitals nationally for patient safety and clinical outcomes.

Qualifications – Float Pool RN
- Current and valid California RN license required prior to hire
- NCLEX-RN required for Canadian and Mexican RNs
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
- ACLS required within 30 days of hire
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation required within 30 days of hire
- Previous acute care hospital experience preferred
- Ventilator management experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Responsibilities and Duties of a Float Pool RN
- Deliver safe, comprehensive patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Provide direct patient care within scope of practice across assigned units
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams regarding clinical status and diagnostic results
- Guide and educate patients and families while supporting ancillary nursing staff
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and national patient safety standards
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive pay range: $43.28 – $71.14 per hour based on experience and credentials
