Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) | USA | TN Visa

IntelliStaff Medical is recruiting Canadian and Mexican Emergency Room Registered Nurses (ER RNs / ED RNs) for full-time opportunities with U.S. hospital employers.

These are direct-hire Emergency Department nursing positions for Canadian and Mexican citizens who are eligible to work in the United States under the TN visa program.

Emergency Room RN Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries and life-threatening conditions
• Perform rapid patient assessments, triage and ongoing reassessments
• Prioritize care based on patient acuity and clinical condition
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products and prescribed treatments
• Assist with trauma care, cardiac emergencies, stroke response, respiratory emergencies and other critical situations
• Recognize and respond quickly to patient deterioration
• Assist physicians and other clinical team members with emergency procedures
• Prepare patients for diagnostic testing, procedures, admission, transfer or discharge
• Provide patient and family education
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Follow infection prevention, medication safety and Emergency Department protocols
• Collaborate with emergency physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, laboratory staff, imaging teams and other healthcare professionals

Minimum Requirements

• Canadian or Mexican citizenship; required for TN visa eligibility
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing, including a BScN or equivalent BSN
• Successful completion of the NCLEX-RN
• Minimum one year of recent hospital nursing experience in Canada, Mexico or the United States
• Recent Emergency Room, Emergency Department, Emergency Medicine, Trauma or Acute Care nursing experience preferred
• Active RN licence or eligibility for licensure in the applicable U.S. state
• Willingness and ability to relocate to the United States
• Strong emergency assessment, triage and critical-thinking skills
• Basic Life Support certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification may be required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification may be required
• Trauma Nursing Core Course or other emergency nursing certifications may be preferred or required by the hospital

Compensation and Benefits

• US$31–$55 per hour
• Approximately CA$43–$77 per hour
• Sign-on bonus of up to US$15,000
• Approximately CA$20,900
• Relocation assistance may be available

• Canadian-dollar amounts are approximate and will change with the exchange rate
