New York Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

IntelliStaff Medical is recruiting experienced internationally educated Registered Nurses for full-time Emergency Department opportunities in Rochester, New York. Applicants must be Canadian or Mexican citizens eligible for TN visa status and interested in building a long-term nursing career in the United States.

Position Overview

• Starting pay: $38.67 USD per hour
• Experience credit: Experienced nurses may be considered toward the higher end of the applicable pay range based on years and relevance of nursing experience
• Weekend Program: Participants receive an additional $7.00 USD per hour
• Hours: Full-time; approximately 36 hours per week
• Shifts: Days, evenings and nights available
• Weekends and holidays: Rotating requirements
• Sign-on bonus: $5,000 USD
• Temporary housing: Up to 30 days
• Employment type: Full-time, direct hire

Immigration & Green Card Pathway

Canadian and Mexican Registered Nurses may initially work in the United States under TN visa status.

After one year of successful employment and good standing, eligible nurses may be considered for the hospital’s employment-based Green Card pathway, subject to hospital approval, immigration eligibility and applicable U.S. immigration requirements.

Emergency Department

This busy Emergency Department provides full-service emergency care for adult and paediatric patients. It includes 34 private treatment rooms and additional hallway treatment spaces for patients experiencing urgent, emergent and life-threatening conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assess, triage and monitor emergency patients
• Develop and update individualized plans of care
• Administer medications, treatments and emergency interventions
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary clinical teams
• Educate patients and families about treatments and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Follow patient-safety, medication and infection-prevention protocols

Minimum Requirements

• Canadian or Mexican citizenship; required for TN visa eligibility
• Nursing diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing, BScN or equivalent
• Successful completion of the NCLEX-RN
• New York RN licence or demonstrated readiness to complete the licensing process
• Recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Strong English communication and documentation skills
• Ability to meet VisaScreen and TN visa requirements
• Interest in establishing a long-term career with the hospital

Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Paediatric Advanced Life Support certification are strongly preferred.
