Position Overview

IntelliStaff Medical is recruiting experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurses for full-time opportunities with a U.S. hospital in Coastal Georgia.

You will provide patient-centred care to mothers and newborns throughout labour, delivery and postpartum recovery. Successful candidates will become direct employees of the hospital.

Canadian and Mexican citizens who meet the professional requirements may qualify for TN visa sponsorship.

Compensation and Incentives

• $34.67–$48.16 USD per hour based on experience
• Sign-on bonus from $1,500 to $7,500 USD
• Relocation assistance from $1,000 to $3,000 USD
• Higher incentives may be available for commitments ranging from one to three years

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree required
• Canadian or Mexican citizenship required for TN visa eligibility
• NCLEX-RN successfully completed
• Active Georgia RN licence or eligibility to obtain one
• VisaScreen certificate completed or underway preferred
• Recent hospital nursing experience
• Labor and Delivery, maternity, postpartum, obstetrics or women’s health experience preferred
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Additional obstetric or neonatal certifications may be required by the hospital

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care during the antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum stages
• Monitor maternal vital signs, fetal heart rates and labour progression
• Interpret fetal monitoring results and promptly communicate clinical concerns
• Assist physicians and other clinical team members during labour and delivery
• Provide immediate postpartum and newborn care
• Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies and complications
• Administer medications, intravenous therapies and prescribed treatments
• Complete maternal and newborn assessments
• Support and educate families regarding childbirth, breastfeeding, newborn care and recovery
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Follow hospital safety, infection-prevention and patient-care standards
• Help create a safe, respectful and reassuring environment for patients and their families
