Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Relocate to the USA

U.S. hospitals are hiring experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses for full-time, permanent positions across the United States.

These are direct-hire opportunities. Successful candidates will work directly for the hospital and receive the compensation, benefits and career opportunities that come with hospital employment.

Operating Room RN Compensation

• Pay: $32–$65 USD per hour; approximately $44–$90 CAD per hour
• Potential sign-on bonus: Up to $30,000 USD; approximately $41,526 CAD
• Bonus availability depends on the facility, candidate qualifications and employment commitment
• Sign-on bonuses may require a one-, two- or three-year employment commitment and facility
• Final compensation is based on experience, qualifications, location and hospital pay structure

Operating Room RN Responsibilities

• Providing safe perioperative nursing care before, during and immediately after surgical procedures
• Working as a circulating nurse and supporting scrub responsibilities when qualified
• Preparing operating rooms, surgical instruments, equipment and supplies
• Confirming patient identity, surgical site, consent and procedure documentation
• Completing preoperative assessments and identifying potential surgical risks
• Maintaining sterile technique and monitoring the sterile field
• Assisting surgeons, anesthesiologists and other members of the surgical team
• Positioning patients safely and implementing pressure-injury prevention measures
• Completing surgical counts and documenting perioperative care accurately
• Monitoring patient safety throughout surgical procedures
• Responding quickly to intraoperative emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Following infection-prevention, medication-safety and hospital policies

Operating Room Registered Nurse Requirements

• Canadian or Mexican citizenship; required for TN visa eligibility
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current Canadian or U.S. Registered Nurse licence
• Successful completion of the NCLEX-RN
• Minimum one year of recent Operating Room or perioperative nursing experience
• Current circulating nurse experience required
• Strong English communication skills
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification may be required, depending on the facility
• CNOR certification is preferred but not required
• VisaScreen certificate or ability to obtain one
• Eligibility to obtain an RN licence in the applicable U.S. state
• Willingness to relocate to the United States
