Position Overview

IntelliStaff Medical is seeking experienced Dialysis Registered Nurses (RNs), Hemodialysis Nurses, and Renal RNs for a full-time opportunity with a U.S. hospital in Southwest Virginia. In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis and renal replacement therapy across multiple healthcare facilities.

This position is ideal for an experienced Dialysis RN who is comfortable independently assessing and monitoring renal patients, providing dialysis treatments according to established clinical protocols, and travelling between assigned healthcare facilities as part of their regular responsibilities.

This opportunity requires Canadian citizenship and a valid Canadian passport.

Compensation

Base Rate:
$38.00 – $45.00 USD/hour

Bonus & Relocation

  • $10,000 sign-on bonus

Qualifications of Dialysis RN

  • Canadian citizenship required
  • Valid Canadian passport required
  • Minimum two years of current Dialysis RN experience required
  • Current experience providing dialysis and renal replacement therapy
  • NCLEX-RN required
  • Must be eligible to obtain the appropriate U.S. RN licensure
  • VisaScreen completed or in process preferred
  • Strong renal patient assessment and clinical monitoring skills
  • Must own a reliable personal vehicle
  • Valid driver's licence required
  • Ability and willingness to drive between multiple healthcare facilities as part of regular job duties

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis and renal replacement therapy
  • Perform comprehensive pre-dialysis, intra-dialysis, and post-dialysis patient assessments
  • Monitor vital signs, fluid status, treatment response, and overall patient condition throughout dialysis therapy
  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and complications associated with dialysis treatment
  • Provide dialysis nursing care in accordance with established clinical protocols and standards
  • Monitor patients for hypotension and other potential adverse responses during treatment
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals involved in renal patient care
  • Educate patients and families regarding dialysis treatments and ongoing renal care
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Travel independently between assigned healthcare facilities to provide dialysis nursing services
