Position Overview

IntelliStaff Medical is seeking Emergency Department Registered Nurses (RNs), Emergency Room Nurses, Trauma Nurses, and ER Nurses for full-time direct-hire opportunities with a U.S. hospital in Southeast Texas. This position is ideal for experienced emergency nurses who excel in fast-paced environments, possess strong clinical judgment, and are confident managing patients with life-threatening illnesses, traumatic injuries, and medical emergencies.

Working in a busy 24/7 Emergency Department and Level IV Trauma Center, you will perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care through effective triage, initiate emergency interventions, and collaborate closely with physicians, EMS personnel, trauma teams, and other healthcare professionals to stabilize patients and improve outcomes.

This opportunity is open to Canadian and Mexican citizens eligible for the TN visa.

Qualifications of Emergency Department RN

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Canadian or Mexican citizenship required for TN visa eligibility
  • Active Texas RN license or eligibility for Texas licensure
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • NCLEX required
  • VisaScreen completed or in process preferred
  • Minimum two years of recent nursing experience in a large Canadian or U.S. acute care hospital required
  • Minimum two years of recent Emergency Department or Trauma nursing experience required
  • Demonstrated experience with emergency triage, trauma assessment, and rapid patient stabilization
  • Experience managing cardiac emergencies, stroke patients, sepsis, respiratory emergencies, and critical medical conditions preferred
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • PALS and TNCC certifications are considered strong assets

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform rapid triage assessments using evidence-based emergency nursing principles to prioritize patient care based on acuity
  • Assess, stabilize, and manage patients presenting with traumatic injuries, cardiac events, strokes, respiratory emergencies, sepsis, fractures, and other life-threatening conditions
  • Recognize subtle changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate emergency interventions without delay
  • Administer emergency medications, IV therapies, blood products, procedural sedation, and advanced life support interventions
  • Assist physicians during trauma activations, cardiac arrests, medical resuscitations, emergency procedures, and critical care interventions
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms, monitor hemodynamic status, and utilize emergency monitoring equipment to support clinical decision-making
  • Collaborate with EMS, trauma teams, emergency physicians, respiratory therapists, laboratory, imaging, and consulting specialists to coordinate timely patient care
  • Provide patient and family education regarding emergency treatment plans, medications, follow-up care, and discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
  • Promote patient safety while delivering compassionate, efficient, and evidence-based emergency nursing care in a high-acuity environment
