About the Opportunity

IntelliStaff Medical is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) for a full-time Inpatient Psychiatry opportunity with a respected mental health facility in Indiana. This position offers the opportunity to work with both adult and adolescent patients experiencing mental health and substance use crises in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment focused on recovery, safety, and healing.

As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in assessing patients, coordinating care plans, administering treatments, educating patients and families, and working alongside social workers, mental health technicians, therapists, and physicians to support positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to psychiatric patients.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and recovery goals.
• Monitor patient safety and respond appropriately to behavioral health crises.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Support a therapeutic environment that promotes healing and recovery.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• NCLEX-RN
• Canadian or Mexican citizenship
• Previous psychiatric, behavioral health, mental health, emergency, or acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and de-escalation skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and recovery-focused treatment.
