Full-Time Permanent Position
IntelliStaff Medical is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse Circulator for a full-time, permanent position at a Level III Trauma Center in the Boise area of Idaho.
This opportunity includes TN visa assistance for qualified Canadian and Mexican Registered Nurses, as well as Idaho licensing assistance for North American nurses.

Qualifications of an Operating Room RN Circulator
- Active Idaho Registered Nurse licence or eligibility for state licensing assistance
- Registered Nurses practising under a multistate licence must establish Idaho residency within 60 days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- NCLEX-RN successfully completed
- Minimum one year of recent Operating Room circulating experience preferred
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required at the time of hire
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support or Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification may be accepted in place of Basic Life Support
- Canadian or Mexican citizenship required for candidates seeking TN visa assistance
- Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical safety standards and perioperative nursing practices
- Strong assessment, communication, documentation and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
Responsibilities and Duties of an Operating Room RN Circulator
- Provide safe, hands-on perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical experience
- Serve as the primary patient advocate during operative procedures
- Complete preoperative assessments and confirm patient readiness for surgery
- Verify patient identity, surgical consent, procedure and operative site
- Participate in surgical time-outs and established patient-safety procedures
- Develop, implement and evaluate individualized perioperative nursing care plans
- Coordinate surgical case flow and support efficient room turnover
- Maintain a safe operating room environment
- Monitor sterile technique and identify potential breaks in the sterile field
- Complete and verify surgical counts according to hospital policy
- Prepare and manage surgical equipment, instruments and supplies
- Assist with safe patient positioning and pressure-injury prevention
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Collect, label and manage surgical specimens accurately
- Document intraoperative care, medications, equipment and patient responses
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists and other clinical professionals
- Communicate relevant patient information during transitions of care
- Promote the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of surgical patients
- Use hospital resources, supplies and equipment responsibly
- Follow Idaho Board of Nursing regulations, professional standards and hospital policies
