IntelliStaff Medical is recruiting experienced internationally educated Registered Nurses for full-time Long-Term Care opportunities in Rochester, New York. Applicants must be Canadian or Mexican citizens eligible for TN visa status and interested in building a long-term nursing career in the United States.
Position Overview
- Starting pay: $38.67 USD per hour
- Experience credit: Starting pay may increase based on years of nursing experience
- Hours: Full-time
- Shifts: Days, evenings and nights available
- Weekends and holidays: Rotating requirements
- Sign-on bonus: $5,000 USD

Long-Term Care Nursing
Long-Term Care Registered Nurses provide ongoing nursing care for residents with chronic illnesses, disabilities, rehabilitation needs and age-related health conditions. Nurses build meaningful relationships with residents and families while supporting comfort, independence, dignity and quality of life.
This opportunity is ideal for nurses who are patient, compassionate and confident managing multiple clinical priorities. The pace can be busy, but getting to know the people behind the charts makes the work especially rewarding.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive and ongoing resident assessments
- Develop, implement and update individualized care plans
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments
- Monitor chronic and acute health conditions
- Provide wound care, pain management and other nursing interventions
- Recognize and respond to changes in resident condition
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists and other clinical professionals
- Communicate with residents and families about care and health changes
- Supervise and support nursing assistants and other assigned team members
- Maintain accurate electronic health records
- Follow infection-prevention, medication and resident-safety standards
- Support residents receiving rehabilitation, palliative or end-of-life care
Minimum Requirements
- Canadian or Mexican citizenship; required for TN visa eligibility
- Nursing diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing, BScN or equivalent
- Successful completion of the NCLEX-RN
- New York RN licence or demonstrated readiness to complete the licensing process
- Recent Long-Term Care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation or geriatric nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Strong English communication and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to meet VisaScreen and TN visa requirements
- Interest in establishing a long-term career with the employer
Experience with dementia care, wound management, intravenous therapy, rehabilitation or medically complex residents is considered an asset.
