IntelliStaff Medical is recruiting experienced internationally educated Registered Nurses for full-time Medical-Surgical opportunities in Rochester, New York. Applicants must be Canadian or Mexican citizens eligible for TN visa status and interested in building a long-term nursing career in the United States.

Position Overview

  • Starting pay: $38.67 USD per hour
  • Experience credit: Starting pay may increase based on years of nursing experience
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Shifts: Days, evenings and nights available
  • Weekends and holidays: Rotating requirements
  • Sign-on bonus: $5,000 USD
  • Temporary housing: Up to 30 days
  • Employment type: Full-time, direct hire

Medical-Surgical Nursing

Medical-Surgical Registered Nurses provide care for adult patients with a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Nurses work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary clinical teams to assess patients, deliver treatments, support recovery and prepare patients for a safe discharge.

This opportunity is ideal for nurses who enjoy clinical variety, teamwork and developing a strong foundation across multiple areas of acute care.

Responsibilities

  • Complete initial and ongoing nursing assessments
  • Develop and document individualized plans of care
  • Administer medications, treatments and prescribed interventions
  • Monitor patients and respond promptly to changes in condition
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care when required
  • Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications and discharge plans
  • Promote mobility, comfort, infection prevention and patient safety
  • Maintain accurate electronic clinical documentation
  • Follow organizational policies, professional standards and clinical protocols

Minimum Requirements

  • Canadian or Mexican citizenship; required for TN visa eligibility
  • Nursing diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing, BScN or equivalent
  • Successful completion of the NCLEX-RN
  • New York RN licence or demonstrated readiness to complete the licensing process
  • Recent acute-care Medical-Surgical nursing experience
  • Current Basic Life Support certification
  • Strong English communication and clinical documentation skills
  • Ability to meet VisaScreen and TN visa requirements
  • Interest in establishing a long-term career with the hospital

Telemetry, orthopaedic, surgical, complex-care or stepdown experience is considered an asset.
