Full-Time Permanent Position

IntelliStaff Medical is seeking Registered Nurses for full-time, permanent Clinical Support Team positions at a Level II Trauma Center in the Boise area of Idaho.

This position includes TN visa assistance for qualified Canadian and Mexican Registered Nurses, as well as Idaho licensing assistance for North American nurses.

You will work as a direct employee of the client hospital and receive the compensation, benefits and professional opportunities that come with permanent hospital employment.

Qualifications of a Float Pool Registered Nurse

  • Active Idaho Registered Nurse licence or eligibility for state licensing assistance
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • NCLEX-RN successfully completed
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification at the time of hire
  • Recent acute-care nursing experience preferred
  • Experience in medical-surgical, orthopedic, neurological, postpartum or telemetry nursing is an asset
  • Ability to care for patients across different hospital departments and acuity levels
  • Canadian or Mexican citizenship required for candidates seeking TN visa assistance
  • Strong assessment, communication, documentation and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient assignments and clinical environments

Responsibilities and Duties of a Float Pool RN

  • Provide safe, hands-on nursing care to patients assigned across designated hospital departments
  • Complete comprehensive physical and psychosocial patient assessments
  • Develop, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
  • Administer prescribed medications, treatments and therapies
  • Evaluate patient responses to medications and clinical interventions
  • Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate significant changes
  • Document patient care, clinical services and supplies accurately
  • Educate patients and families according to assessed learning needs
  • Promote the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of patients
  • Serve as a patient advocate throughout the care experience
  • Communicate patient status and care plans verbally and in writing
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other members of the interdisciplinary team
  • Operate patient-care equipment safely and competently
  • Maintain therapeutic and professional boundaries
  • Follow hospital safety policies and clinical procedures
  • Meet the technical and competency requirements of each assigned unit
  • Integrate clinical experience, professional standards and organizational policies into nursing practice
  • Practise according to the rules and regulations of the Idaho Board of Nursing

About the Clinical Support Team

Registered Nurses working in the Clinical Support Team provide nursing coverage across several general patient-care departments. Float Pool RNs may receive assignments in:

  • Medical-surgical nursing
  • Orthopedic nursing
  • Neurological nursing
  • Postpartum nursing
  • Telemetry nursing

This position offers an opportunity to care for patients with different diagnoses and acuity levels while expanding your clinical knowledge across multiple specialties.

Float Pool Registered Nurses assigned to this position will remain at the same hospital. They will not be required to float to other facilities within the health system. They will also not receive assignments in the Emergency Department or critical care units.
