Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) | USA

IntelliStaff Medical is recruiting Canadian and Mexican Operating Room Registered Nurses for full-time opportunities with U.S. hospital employers.

These positions are open to Canadian and Mexican citizens who are eligible to work in the United States under the TN visa program.

Operating Room RN Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care before, during and immediately after surgery
• Work as a circulating or scrub nurse based on experience
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment and supplies
• Complete preoperative assessments and verify patient information
• Maintain sterile technique and infection-prevention standards
• Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists and other surgical team members
• Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures
• Complete surgical counts and clinical documentation
• Respond to emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Support patient safety throughout the perioperative process

Minimum Requirements

• Canadian or Mexican citizenship; required for TN visa eligibility
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN or equivalent BSN)
• Successful completion of the NCLEX-RN
• Minimum one year of recent hospital nursing experience in Canada, Mexico or the United States
• Recent Operating Room, perioperative, circulating or scrub nursing experience is preferred
• Active RN licence or eligibility for licensure in the applicable U.S. state
• Willingness and ability to relocate to the United States
• Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical safety standards

Compensation and Benefits

• US$32–$65 per hour
• Approximately CA$44–$90 per hour
• Sign-on bonus of up to US$20,000
• Approximately CA$27,700
• Hospital benefits may include medical, dental and vision insurance
• Paid time off and retirement programs may be available
• Compensation, bonuses and benefits vary by hospital, location, experience and employment commitment
