Position Overview
IntelliStaff Medical is seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses (RNs) for a full-time opportunity in Maine. This role offers a mix of fast-paced emergency care with a more community-focused environment; meaning you’ll still see everything, just without 40 stretchers in the hallway.
This position requires a 3-year commitment. Ideal for nurses looking for stability, U.S. experience, and a long-term immigration pathway.
This opportunity is open to Canadian citizens eligible for the TN visa.
Green card and permanent residency sponsorship is available for qualified candidates after 3 months of employment.

Qualifications of ER RN
- Canadian citizenship (required for TN visa eligibility)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- NCLEX-RN completed
- VisaScreen (CGFNS) completed or in process
- Active RN license (or eligibility) in Maine
- BLS required upon hire
- ACLS required within 30 days
- PALS or ENPC required within 30 days
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience; ER experience preferred
- CEN certification considered an asset
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on acuity
- Provide emergency care for trauma, cardiac events, and acute illnesses
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions
- Assist with procedures such as intubation, resuscitation, and stabilization
- Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on treatment and discharge plans
- Ensure compliance with EMTALA and patient safety standards
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
