Position Overview
IntelliStaff Medical is seeking experienced Charge Nurses (RNs) for full-time opportunities with a U.S. hospital in the Kansas City region. This role combines hands-on nursing care with leadership responsibilities, overseeing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring smooth unit operations.
This opportunity is open to Canadian and Mexican citizens eligible for the TN visa.
Green card and permanent residency sponsorship is available for qualified candidates after 3 months of employment.
Compensation

Qualifications of Charge Nurse
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Canadian or Mexican citizenship (TN visa eligibility required)
- Active RN license (or eligibility) in the State of Kansas
- NCLEX required
- BLS required upon hire
- ACLS required within 30 days of hire
- Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience required
- Previous leadership or charge nurse experience preferred
- Specialty certification considered an asset
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead and support nursing staff during assigned shifts
- Coordinate patient assignments and manage unit workflow based on acuity
- Provide direct patient care as needed
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate care when necessary
- Communicate patient updates and clinical changes with physicians and care teams
- Respond to and coordinate emergency situations
- Mentor and support nursing staff, including onboarding and performance guidance
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Oversee staffing needs, equipment readiness, and resource allocation
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
