Position Overview
IntelliStaff Medical is seeking Float Pool Registered Nurses (RNs) for full-time opportunities with a U.S. hospital in the Kansas City region. In this role, you will work across multiple units including Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Emergency Department, and Critical Care, providing flexible, high-quality patient care where it is needed most.
This opportunity is open to Canadian and Mexican citizens eligible for the TN visa.
Green card and permanent residency sponsorship is available for qualified candidates after 3 months of employment.
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rates based on experience
- Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus available (details discussed during interview)

Qualifications of Float Pool RN
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Canadian or Mexican citizenship (TN visa eligibility required)
- Active RN license (or eligibility) in the State of Kansas
- NCLEX required
- BLS required upon hire
- ACLS preferred within 30 days of hire
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience required
- Experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Progressive Care preferred
- Ventilator management experience considered an asset
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide direct patient care across multiple units, including assessments, medication administration, and treatments
- Adapt quickly to different unit workflows, patient populations, and clinical protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in clinical status
- Assist with procedures and safely operate unit-specific equipment
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Support infection control standards and patient safety initiatives
- Serve as a resource to support staff and assist with delegation of care tasks
- Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives
