Position Overview
IntelliStaff Medical is seeking Medical/Surgical Registered Nurses (RNs) for full-time opportunities with a U.S. hospital in the Greater Chicago region. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions and post-surgical needs in an acute care setting.
This opportunity is open to Canadian and Mexican citizens eligible for the TN visa.
Green card and permanent residency sponsorship is available for qualified candidates after 3 months of employment.
Compensation
- $35.35 – $53.58/hour based on experience
- Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus available (details discussed during interview)

Qualifications of Medical/Surgical RN
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Canadian or Mexican citizenship (TN visa eligibility required)
- Active RN license (or eligibility) in the State of Illinois
- NCLEX required
- BLS required upon hire
- ACLS required within 30 days of hire
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation required within 30 days
- Previous acute care experience preferred
- Medical-Surgical certification (RN-BC) considered an asset
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with medical conditions and post-operative needs
- Perform detailed patient assessments and monitor vital signs and clinical status
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care and recovery
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge plans
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety standards
