Position Overview
IntelliStaff Medical is seeking Medical/Surgical Ortho Neuro Registered Nurses (RNs) for full-time opportunities with a U.S. hospital in the Greater Chicago region. In this role, you will care for patients with a mix of orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and general medical needs in a fast-paced acute care setting.
This opportunity is open to Canadian and Mexican citizens eligible for the TN visa.
Green card and permanent residency sponsorship is available for qualified candidates after 3 months of employment.
Compensation
- $35.35 – $53.58/hour based on experience
- Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus available (details discussed during interview)

Qualifications of Med/Surg Ortho Neuro RN
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Canadian or Mexican citizenship (TN visa eligibility required)
- Active RN license (or eligibility) in the State of Illinois
- NCLEX required
- BLS required upon hire
- ACLS required within 30 days of hire
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation required within 30 days
- Previous acute care experience preferred
- Experience in orthopedic or neurological care considered an asset
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with orthopedic, neurological, and medical conditions
- Perform detailed patient assessments, including neuro checks and mobility evaluations
- Monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms, identifying and responding to changes in condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
- Assist with post-surgical care, including joint replacements, fractures, and neuro procedures
- Support patient mobility, rehabilitation, and recovery goals
- Collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on recovery plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety standards
