Position Overview
IntelliStaff Medical is seeking Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurses (RNs) for full-time opportunities with a U.S. hospital in the Detroit Metro region. In this role, you will care for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing care, bridging the gap between ICU and Medical/Surgical units.
This opportunity is open to Canadian and Mexican citizens eligible for the TN visa.
Green card and permanent residency sponsorship is available for qualified candidates after 3 months of employment.

Qualifications of PCU RN
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Canadian or Mexican citizenship (TN visa eligibility required)
- Active RN license (or eligibility) in the State of Michigan
- NCLEX required
- BLS required upon hire
- ACLS preferred within 30 days of hire
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience; critical care or telemetry experience preferred
- Completion of a critical care course considered an asset
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide advanced nursing care to patients with complex, high-acuity conditions requiring close monitoring
- Perform detailed patient assessments, including cardiac monitoring and frequent reassessments
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and titratable drips as appropriate
- Monitor patients recovering from critical illness, cardiac events, or major surgeries
- Recognize and respond quickly to clinical deterioration and medical emergencies
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and recovery expectations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety standards
