Position Overview

IntelliStaff Medical is seeking Medical/Surgical Registered Nurses (RNs) for full-time opportunities with a U.S. hospital in the Detroit Metro region. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions and post-surgical needs in a fast-paced acute care environment.

This opportunity is open to Canadian and Mexican citizens eligible for the TN visa.

Green card and permanent residency sponsorship is available for qualified candidates after 3 months of employment.

Qualifications of Medical/Surgical RN

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Canadian or Mexican citizenship (TN visa eligibility required)
  • Active RN license (or eligibility) in the State of Michigan
  • NCLEX required
  • BLS required upon hire
  • ACLS preferred within 30 days of hire
  • Previous acute care experience preferred
  • Ventilator management experience considered an asset

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with medical conditions and post-operative needs
  • Perform detailed patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in condition
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care and recovery
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, discharge instructions, and recovery plans
  • Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety standards
  • Respond effectively to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition
