Position Overview
IntelliStaff Medical is seeking Medical/Surgical Oncology Registered Nurses (RNs) for full-time opportunities with a U.S. hospital in the Central Maine region. In this role, you will provide specialized care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, supporting them through complex medical and emotional needs.
This opportunity is open to Canadian and Mexican citizens eligible for the TN visa.
Green card and permanent residency sponsorship is available for qualified candidates after 3 months of employment.
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rates based on experience

Qualifications of Medical/Surgical Oncology RN
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Canadian or Mexican citizenship (TN visa eligibility required)
- Active RN license (or eligibility) in the State of Maine
- NCLEX required
- BLS required upon hire
- Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) preferred
- Experience in oncology or medical/surgical nursing preferred
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cancer and complex medical conditions
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patients for treatment side effects and manage symptoms such as pain, nausea, and fatigue
- Perform detailed patient assessments and respond to changes in clinical condition
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and side effect management
- Collaborate with oncologists and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans
- Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety standards
- Support continuity of care through discharge planning and patient education
