IntelliStaff Medical is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a full-time permanent position in Northern California. This opportunity includes TN visa assistance for qualified Canadian and Mexican RNs, along with U.S. state licensing support.

This Emergency Room RN position offers the opportunity to work as a direct employee of a 230-bed acute care hospital serving Northern California for more than 70 years. The facility is part of a large multi-state health system and is recognized nationally for cardiovascular excellence, patient safety, and quality outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Emergency Room Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced trauma environment, values clinical excellence, and wants to build experience in a nationally recognized acute care hospital.

Qualifications – Emergency Department RN

  • Current and valid California RN license required
  • NCLEX-RN required for Canadian and Mexican RNs
  • Minimum one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital required; Emergency Department experience preferred
  • BLS (AHA) required upon hire
  • ACLS (AHA) required within 30 days of hire
  • PALS (AHA) and/or ENPC required within 90 days of hire
  • Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation required within 30 days of hire
  • CEN preferred
  • BSN preferred
  • TNCC required within 12 months of hire

Responsibilities and Duties of an Emergency Room RN

  • Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
  • Perform rapid assessments and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
  • Communicate effectively with physicians regarding diagnostic results and clinical updates
  • Maintain knowledge of EMTALA regulations and mandatory reporting requirements
  • Provide patient and family education while ensuring privacy and confidentiality
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to stabilize, treat and prepare patients for admission or transfer
