IntelliStaff Medical is seeking a Recovery Room / PACU Registered Nurse for a full-time permanent position in South Carolina. This opportunity includes immigration assistance for qualified Canadian and Mexican RNs, along with U.S. state licensing support for North American nurses.

Position Details

• Day shift schedule
• Practice within the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics

Qualifications of a PACU RN

• Current or eligible for South Carolina RN license
• NCLEX-RN required for Canadian and Mexican nurses
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• American Heart Association BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
• PALS certification encouraged
• National specialty certification encouraged
• Minimum one year of PACU or Recovery Room experience preferred

Responsibilities and Duties of a PACU / Recovery Room RN

• Plan and coordinate care for a designated group of post-anesthesia patients
• Monitor airway, vital signs, neurological status, and pain management in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit
• Recognize and respond to post-operative complications
• Administer IV, inhalation, and other prescribed medications
• Direct ancillary personnel in implementing patient care plans
• Assume charge responsibilities as assigned
• Document care in accordance with hospital policies and nursing standards of practice
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams
