IntelliStaff Medical is seeking a Medical Surgical Orthopedic Registered Nurse for a full-time permanent position in South Carolina. This opportunity includes TN visa assistance for qualified Canadian and Mexican RNs, along with U.S. state licensing support.

About the Role – Medical Surgical Orthopedic RN
The Med Surg Ortho RN plans, coordinates, and delivers high-quality nursing care to adult patients recovering from medical conditions, surgical procedures, and orthopedic interventions. You will manage a defined patient group, delegate to ancillary staff, and may assume charge responsibilities as assigned.
This role practices within the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics, hospital policies, and established Nursing Standards of Practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical, surgical, and orthopedic patients
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor post-operative orthopedic patients, including joint replacement and fracture recovery
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing assistants and support staff
- Document assessments and interventions in compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications – Medical Surgical Orthopedic RN
- Active or eligible for South Carolina RN license
- NCLEX-RN required for Canadian and Mexican nurses
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift
- Previous Medical Surgical or Orthopedic nursing experience preferred
- Ability to practice within state regulations and hospital policies
