IntelliStaff Medical is seeking a Registered Nurse – Pre Surgical Screening for a full-time permanent position in Boise, Idaho. This opportunity includes TN visa assistance for qualified Canadian and Mexican RNs, along with full U.S. state licensing support.

Position Overview

  • Full-time permanent RN position
  • Pre Surgical Screening unit
  • Monday to Friday schedule; no weekends or statutory holidays
  • Collaborative outpatient perioperative environment

About the Role – Pre Operative RN

As a Pre Surgical Screening Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patients are properly assessed and prepared for surgery. This role focuses on comprehensive pre operative evaluations, patient education, medication review, and care coordination to promote safe surgical outcomes.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments for surgical patients
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, medications, and recovery expectations
  • Prepare, administer, and evaluate prescribed medications and treatments
  • Maintain accurate and complete clinical documentation
  • Communicate patient status and care plans effectively with healthcare team members
  • Advocate for patient safety, rights, and well-being
  • Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards and Idaho State Board of Nursing regulations
  • Demonstrate safe operation of patient care equipment
  • Promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in the state of Idaho prior to start date
  • Multistate RNs must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire
  • NCLEX-RN required for Canadian and Mexican RNs
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required at hire
  • ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • PALS within 12 months of hire
  • Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and patient education skills
