IntelliStaff Medical is seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses with a strong background in mental health or psychiatric nursing for full-time, permanent positions in a brand-new Emergency Psychiatric Unit.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new initiative combining acute emergency and behavioral health care.
This position includes TN visa assistance for qualified Canadian and Mexican RNs, as well as full licensing support for North American nurses.
You will be a direct employee of the hospital, receiving full benefits and the opportunity for a green card pathway after 120 days in good standing.
Qualifications

Active RN license in the state of Texas (licensing assistance available)

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

NCLEX required for Canadian and Mexican RNs

BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required

At least one year of recent Emergency Room experience

Psychiatric or Mental Health nursing experience is strongly preferred (e.g., experience in behavioral health units, crisis stabilization, or psychiatric ER settings)
Responsibilities
-
Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients presenting with both medical and psychiatric emergencies.

Conduct comprehensive assessments and implement interventions for patients in crisis.

Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, mental health professionals, and emergency physicians.

Provide life-saving care, high-intensity therapies, and emergency interventions for both adult and pediatric patients.

Support and educate patients and families during medical and psychiatric crises.

Administer medications, perform IV insertions, draw blood, and prepare patients for diagnostics or procedures.

Recognize and respond rapidly to signs of distress or decompensation.
