Wound Care Registered Nurse – FT – Days – Inpatient

IntelliStaff Medical is seeking experienced Wound Care Registered Nurses for full-time, permanent day shift positions in South Texas. This opportunity includes TN visa sponsorship for qualified Canadian and Mexican citizens and licensing support for North American nurses.

As a direct hire of the hospital, you'll provide specialized wound care services in an inpatient setting, helping patients recover safely and comfortably while enjoying the benefits and stability of long-term employment.

Qualifications of a Wound Care RN:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred)

• Current RN license in Texas (licensing support available)

• NCLEX-RN required for Canadian and Mexican RNs

• Current BLS certification required

• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire

• Certified Skin and Wound Specialist (ABWH) preferred or must be obtained within 12 months

• Strong clinical background in wound care preferred

• Proficiency in English (verbal and written); Spanish proficiency is a plus

• Computer literacy required

• Must be a Canadian or Mexican citizen to qualify for TN visa sponsorship

Responsibilities and Duties of a Wound Care RN:

• Deliver inpatient wound care using the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation

• Implement physician orders accurately and safely

• Educate patients and families on wound care, prevention, and recovery

• Perform and document thorough wound assessments and healing progress

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and achieve patient-centered outcomes

• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers while adapting to evolving unit needs

• Provide direction and guidance to non-licensed nursing staff

• Administer medications and wound therapies within scope of practice

• Participate in unit-based initiatives, staff meetings, and quality improvement projects

• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and organizational standards

• Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and holidays
